custard horizon extended sleeve T

These cotton long sleeved T's are upcycled from unwanted promotional T-shirts discarded by a business in our neighborhood. We helped them manage this excess garment "waste" by combining two of these unloved tops into one unique piece that celebrates transformation fluidity and creative self expression.

The original T's were restructured by combining two shirts and cutting around the original printed design to create a wavy horizon seam across the chest. They were stripped of their luridly bright color to create a unique new tone; custard-- our take on butter yellow. As we remove the dye in small batches, slight variation in tones occurs, giving each piece a unique, natural-dye-looking feel.

To prevent waste we construct these pieces on a made-to-order basis, so please allow up to two weeks for creation!

Cut and sewn by workers in Honduras, redesigned and upcycled in Ridgewood, Queens.

Wash COLD inside out gentle cycle or by hand with standard or mild detergent. no bleach/Oxiclean/Dreft/extra-strength soap. Do not iron on print.
