NON-BINARY button shirts (designer)

Although the major differences between “men’s” and “women’s” clothing lie in their marketing, there are a few traditional tailoring distinctions, most of which are arbitrary. For example, for no relevant reason, button-down shirts are gendered based on which side of the garment the buttons/buttonholes are placed. 

The essence of Official Rebrand’s mission is to revive unwanted clothing and reintroduce it, rejecting this sewn-in binary, and making it available for anyone who feels fabulous enough to wear it. 

Our latest binary-rejecting tailoring project has been to transform second-hand shirts so the buttons are on both sides.

Sizing in inches and descriptions of variants: 

Alexander McQueen skull long sleeve: 100% cotton, features small blue dot pattern and subtle white skulls. shoulder to shoulder 19.5 / chest 46 / highest point shoulder to hem 24 / shoulder to cuff 27. Original garment made in Romania.

Burberry crystal embellished collar: 100% cotton, features three ornate black crystal clusters on the sides and back of the collar. shoulder to shoulder 20 / chest 48 / highest point shoulder to hem 25.5 / shoulder to cuff 26.5. Original garment made in Italy. 

Burberry monogram jacquard long sleeve: 100% cotton, features a silky soft cotton and a subtle "B" monogram design. shoulder to shoulder 20 / chest 46 / highest point shoulder to hem 25.5 / shoulder to cuff 26.5. Original garment made in Italy. 

DSQUARED2 denim ruffle long sleeve: 100% cotton, features denim ruffles lining the buttons down the center of the shirt. shoulder to shoulder 20 / chest 48 / highest point shoulder to hem 27 / shoulder to cuff 26.5. Original garment made in Italy.
