Earth Month 2019 // Age of Desire
Official Rebrand’s Earth Month 2019 Collection captures the explosive tension between the ecstasies and agonies brought on by desire. Enacting an alternative mode of consumption through upcycling, AGE OF DESIRE explores a collision of anxieties surrounding climate change and our dependance on decadence. Played out on a wide variety of repurposed garments, reclaimed pieces are emblazoned with paintings of sinuous, genderless people, blinded by desire. The collection conjures a world rich with vibrant flora and fauna threatened by climate change.
The collection was presented via performances by West Dakota, Pauli Cakes, Rochelle Jamila and Sessa Tate on April 19, 2019 at Firelight Studio in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
