MATISSE-sleeve sweatshirt (Oedipus in love)
Rebranded XL deadstock (Giladan Heavy Blend) crewnecks. Bottom of sweatshirt removed and added to sleeve for dramatic effect, inspired by Matisse's La Blouse Roumain paintings. Painted in 1940, the same year the Nazis overran France, and it’s said that Matisse created the pictures to cheer himself up during one of his country’s darkest moments.
White version painted with a reimagined long-nailed and heartbroken Oedipus.
